About River
River got her start as the founding producer of Gainesville’s first variety troupe and a member of its first Neo-Burlesque troupe. Her contributions to Central Florida burlesque are alive and well in the longest running solo production in Gainesville, now known as Sally B’s Dashing Revue.
As one of the acclaimed Gogo dancers at world-famous Ybor City nightclub The Castle, River has designed looks and danced for such events as The Royal Masquerade, Endless Nights Vampire Ball, The Steampunk Ball, and more. As an award-winning solo burlesque artist, she has performed from Seattle to Las Vegas to Miami!
She is in her second year running cabaret productions in Tampa Bay as Scarlet Lotus Cabaret. Her popular variety show The Graveyard ran every other Sunday for two and a half years. Her large-scale themed productions Midsummer and Nightmare are known for their immersive and unique cabaret takes on well-known works. SLC has a reputation for inclusive casting and creating a welcoming environment for everyone under the expert emcee work of Alistair Graves.
